Potential of development for Sapa Depot
Sapa is a small mountainous town with densely populated subdivisions in Northwest Vietnam. Thus, the delivery and operational costs in Sapa have remained low. Meanwhile, Sapa has emerged as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the northern region, which has led to huge investments in local HORECA businesses. These businesses are seen as main targets of MM Vietnam.
Furthermore, the transportation of commodities from Hanoi to Lao Cai City takes around 5 hours by road. This has caused the overuse of time, financial, human and fossil fuel resources; therefore, there has been a growing demand for the nearest supply chain and sourcing partners that offer the best products at the most competitive prices. In recognition of potential for development and expansion in Sapa, MM Vietnam regards Sapa as the best option for opening its fifth depot.
Sapa Depot attracts an overwhelming attention from local HoReCa customers
“Vietnam’s tourism industry in the post Covid-19 period is expected to quickly recover and catch up with strong development momentum. Throughout Vietnam, MM is expanding its ability to meet growing customer demand for high-quality, responsibly and sustainably-produced products and we look forward to bringing our expertise and supply capabilities closer to even more customers in Vietnam,” said Mr. Bruno Jousselin – Managing Director of MM Mega Market Vietnam. “The opening of Sapa Depot at one of the famous tourist destinations in Vietnam is part of the business strategy of MM – a leading food retailer for professional customers, specifically HoReCa channel. We hope that Sapa Depot will bring to our customers not only high-quality products, but also tailor-made solutions at competitive prices to unlock greater value for our customers. Furthermore, the investment will support economic development for Sapa in particular and Lao Cai in general”.
