MMVN applies HACCP standard to assess potential risks and implement preventive measures for overcoming them, in order to ensure products are always safe and qualified.
Ultra-fresh product quality depends on quality of soil, water, and variety of cultivated crops. Fail-safety and quality of products take shape right as farmers cultivate their produce on fields.
To prevent potential risk that could be effect on safety and quality of product, MMVN has opened training courses for farmers on practice of good agricultural production. Most of MMVN’s suppliers had certificate of VietGAP.
MM Mega Market built vegetable and fruit depot in Da Lat, fish platform in Can Tho, and other platforms in Hanoi, Binh Duong to directly purchase products from farmers. By this model, product quality from sources is controlled synchronically and effectively.
MMVN agricultural engineers have a thorough understanding of features of cultivation area and daily close working together with farmers to consult, supervise to prevent every risks from product cultivation phase and identify source area needed to buy by certain period.
Qualified products will be received and distributed to MMVN stores.
Like a professional team, MMVN and farmers has worked closely to produce, control in control, receive, and bring safe products to customers by close cycle.
CONTROLLING AND MANAGEMENT
MMVN have been applying HACCP standard to assess risks, analyze their frequency and seriousness (food risk assessment), and implement preventive measures for overcoming them, in order to ensure healthy, safe food.
To ensure fresh foods to meet food safety and quality requirements, products must go through over 20 always-controlled checkpoints from being produced in farms to being bought by customers:
AT PROCESSING WAREHOUSE: product checking at receiving are carried out in efficient, comprehensive, systematic way.
Beside quick checking, MMVN frequently sends samples to outside independent lab (with ISO 17025 certificate) to test safety and hygiene standards to ensure products to meet requirements.
Then, these products are distributed to MMVN stores by specified truck with temperature-recording instruments to make sure that preservation temperature of products are supervised through transportation process.
AT STORES
Products continue to be preserved, showed in optimized condition and often checked to keep great quality for customers’ buying and usage.
TRACEABILITY
In MMVN, merchandises always have full information of source, origin on product label in accordance with the law.
To ultra-fresh products like vegetables - fish - meat provided by MMVN, “Origin” not only indicates location where they are produced, grew, or caught but also the process how they took shape and all applied standards, checking process to ensure quality of product and sustainable development.
In MMVN, the origin controlling is executed systematically and scientifically. Today, by QR code labelled on product packing, customers are able to easily trace its source by their smartphone.
